The Syracuse VA Medical Center will host a Veteran’s Wellness Fair on Thursday, October 17th in the medical center auditorium beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event is free and open to currently-enrolled Veteran patients and their family members as well as any Veteran interested in services and programs offered at the VA Medical Center.
The Fair will feature educational, informational and interactive displays on a full range of health and wellness topics such as fitness, nutrition, smoking cessation, diabetes treatment and prevention, pain management, women’s health and more. Experts in all these areas will answer questions and talk with Veterans and family members about these important wellness topics.
Staff members from the Onondaga County Department of Aging and Youth will also be on hand to talk about health and wellness programs offered by the county. Volunteer practitioners in the area of massage, meditation and Reiki will provide information and demonstrations.
