MARKS NATIONAL POW/MIA DAY

 

Members of VFW Post 153 Donate Remembrance Table

 

             Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse VA Medical Center marked the annual observance of National POW/MIA Recognition Day on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 with a the dedication of  a remembrance table donated by the members of VFW Post 153 of Baldwinsville, NY.

             A ceremony was held in the main lobby of the Medical Center attended by Veterans, family members and staff.  The table will be on permanent display in the main entrance to the building as a reminder of the sacrifice of those members of the military who are unaccounted for. 

             At present, more than 83,000 Americans remain missing from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Gulf Wars, and other conflicts.
