National Nurses Week May 6-12
2015 Nurses Week theme is
“Ethical Practice-Quality Care”
The Department of Veterans Affairs, the nation’s largest single employer of nurses, joins the American Nurses Association in honoring America’s nurses dedicated to saving lives and maintaining the health of millions of individuals, including our nation’s heroes, during National Nurses Week, May 6-12.
The Syracuse VA will honor the many roles nurses play in delivering the highest level of quality care to our Veterans and their families at a Nurses Excellence Award Ceremony Thursday, May 7th at 11:30 a.m. in the Medical Center Auditorium. The event is open to the public and parking is available in the Medical Center garage.
This year’s Nurses Week theme is “Ethical Practice-Quality Care” and is a tribute to the more than 500 Syracuse nurses who Director James Cody describes “as the compassionate backbone of Syracuse VA”.
